Program Manager, Out of School Time (OST)

Location: Newport, RI

East Bay Community Action Program is hiring a full-time Manager for the Out of School Time (OST) program at the Pell Elementary School in Newport, RI.

As a member of the NFCOZ Student Supports Team, the OST (Out of School Time) Manager is responsible for leading the CLC team to implement and maintain the vision of the 21st Century Community Learning Center (CLC) initiative at the Pell Elementary School which includes:

  • Program development and management including school year and summer programming;
  • Planning OST activities following best practice in the field and quality standards; managing and supervising CLC staff; daily supervision of program participants;
  • Building and maintaining collaborative relationships with Newport Public School district administrators, school faculty, staff, and community agencies;
  • Promoting parent involvement;
  • Managing CLC program data, assisting the NFCOZ Director with fund development and reporting, and managing the required program quality assessment process; serving as the point of contact for state grant officer including attending CLC Network meetings.
  • The OST Manager is also responsible for supporting the advancement of NFCOZ initiatives and promoting the philosophy and mission of EBCAP, the NFCOZ, and the goals of the CLC initiative.

Qualifications:

A minimum of a Bachelor degree in Education or a Human Services field and at least 5 years of community work experience with school age children and families in the areas of: social/emotional learning, behavior management, program development and management, educational practice, family engagement, and program recruitment. Experience supervising and developing staff.
