At our Head Start program (located at 8 John Chafee Boulevard), you'll lead a dedicated team—including Teacher Associates, Assistants, and enthusiastic volunteers—in building a space where every child feels valued, safe, and excited to explore.
We've assembled a powerful toolkit to support your success: the Creative Curriculum, Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS), The Incredible Years, and our Classroom Behavioral Management System. You'll design engaging learning experiences that celebrate each child's intellectual, physical, and social development while partnering closely with families to create lasting impact.
What Makes You Perfect for This:
You bring energy, heart, creativity, and one of these qualifications:
RI Department of Education teacher certification in Early Childhood Education, or
Bachelor's or Associate degree in ECE with 3 months of supervised teaching experience, or
Bachelor's or Associate in a related field* with infant/toddler classroom experience
*Related fields include Human Development, Psychology, Social Work, Education, Child & Family Studies
